“At present, 289 new business entities and large grain growers in the county have laid drip irrigation belts covering an area of ​​62,000 acres. Through drip irrigation, the precise control of fertilizer and water, the effect of efficient water-saving irrigation is prominent, and the comprehensive benefits of agricultural production have been significantly improved.” Dong Wenquan said.

Focusing on improving grain production capacity and striding towards an agricultural power, agricultural machinery innovation is a key variable. At present, autumn grain varieties in some areas have been harvested first, and more than 2 million acres of fresh corn in Heilongjiang Province have been harvested one after another. In the high-standard farmland of Qinggang County, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province, three fresh corn stalk and ear harvesters are working at full capacity.

By the end of 2023, my country’s agricultural machinery ownership ranks among the top in the world, with a total power of more than 1.13 billion kilowatts. At present, the contribution rate of agricultural science and technology progress in my country has increased to 63.2%, and the comprehensive mechanization rate of crop cultivation and harvesting has reached 74%, providing strong support for accelerating the construction of an agricultural power.
