On March 12, reporters learned from the press conference of the Anhui Provincial Government Information Office that in 2024, Anhui will coordinate the integrated protection and systematic management of mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands and sands, complete 272,000 mu of artificial afforestation, 1.115 million mu of closed-mountain afforestation, 727,000 mu of degraded forest restoration, and 2.036 million mu of forest cultivation.
Li Yongjun, chief engineer of the Provincial Forestry Bureau, introduced that in recent years, Anhui has fully implemented the Green Jianghuai Action and compiled the “Anhui Province Green Jianghuai Action Construction Plan (2023-2027)”, further clarifying the construction goals, layout and key points of the Green Jianghuai Action, forming a joint force for all levels and relevant departments to focus on greening.

Focusing on green and beautiful scenic spots, 120 key tourist attractions above 3A level, such as Yefushan National Forest Park, were selected, and the “one scene, one case” transformation and upgrading were implemented to promote the quality upgrade of scenic spots; vigorously develop rural tourism, Fengyang Xiaogang Village was successfully selected as the world’s best tourist village, and 50 provincial boutique theme villages, 30 characteristic food villages, and 50 trunk engineering bases were announced.
At the same time, the governance of abandoned mines was accelerated, and 370 abandoned mines were repaired in 2024, covering an area of 77,000 mu. The “Anhui Huaihe Ecological Corridor Historical Abandoned Mine Ecological Restoration Project” was selected as a national demonstration project and received a central government subsidy of 300 million yuan.
