Shandong supports innovation of private enterprises
Walking into Weiqiao Lightweight Materials Co., Ltd. in Zouping City, Binzhou, Shandong, a delicate and compact aluminum frame for automobiles is particularly “eye-catching”. Yang Hongliang, the technical director of this private enterprise, introduced that the weight of this car body is only 156 kilograms, which is about 40% lighter than the traditional steel body. When it is applied to pure electric models, it can effectively increase the range by 3% to 5%. This product is one of the important achievements of Shandong Province’s science and technology innovation projects in recent years.
In recent years, Shandong has vigorously implemented the tiered cultivation of science and technology enterprises, improved the policy system for the entire life cycle of science and technology private enterprises, and made good use of the “more investment, more rewards, no application, immediate enjoyment” research and development investment subsidy mechanism to encourage enterprises to increase research and development investment. This year, Shandong has laid out 124 major provincial science and technology innovation projects, of which more than 75% are led by private enterprises; 156 provincial technology innovation centers and 471 provincial new research and development institutions have been built, and private enterprises have taken the lead in construction, accounting for more than 60%.
At the Aixu project site in the Jinan start-up area, the first phase of the battery workshop is lined with steel frames, and the component production workshop not far away has been capped. Before the end of this year, the component production capacity here will be officially put into production. Since the beginning of this year, Shandong has introduced 38 major policy measures to promote the development of the private economy and 27 major policy measures to support private investment, dredge bottlenecks, lower thresholds, and improve services. In terms of implementing inclusive funds such as “small to high” and R&D investment subsidies, private enterprises account for more than 90%.
Sun Aijun, director of the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, said that in the next step, Shandong will focus on cultivating emerging future industries, organize about 50 major industrial research projects each year, and promote more private enterprises to layout new tracks and cultivate new growth points.
