in

Over the past six years, the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port has shown the remarkable characteristics of “standardization, convenience, and high quality.”

In the next five years, Hainan Free Trade Port will continue to work hard on institutional system integration, make a fuss about the effectiveness of reform, and actively carry out pioneering and integrated exploration.

23.4% – This is the average growth rate of imports and exports of goods from self-trade ports in the past six years. In the first half of this year, Hainan’s imports and exports of goods increased by 13.8% year-on-year, exceeding 130 billion yuan.

36.1% – This is the average annual growth rate of actual use of foreign investment in free trade ports in the past six years, ranking among the top in the country.

99.5% – This is the proportion of days with excellent air quality in Hainan Province last year, which reflects the environmental quality and has reached the best level in history.

Over the past six years, the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port has made great progress. Hainan has achieved “speed, quality and efficiency” in the process of comprehensively deepening reform and opening up with system integration innovation as the core.

Opening up to the outside world is my country’s basic national policy, and promoting reform through opening up is the practical logic of reform and opening up. Hainan Free Trade Port, as a new highland for my country’s opening up to the outside world, has an important strategic position and huge development potential.

Recently, Luo Rong, director and researcher of the Institute of Foreign Economics of the National Development and Reform Commission, expressed his support for Hainan to gradually explore and steadily promote the construction of a free trade port with Chinese characteristics and establish a free trade port step by step and in stages. The trade port policy and institutional system are major measures for China to comprehensively deepen reform and opening up.
