Ningxia’s express delivery industry accelerates, reflecting economic vitality

According to industry statistics from the Ningxia Postal Administration, in the first half of this year, Ningxia’s express delivery business volume totaled 76.8336 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 31.94%. In the first half of the year, the same-city business volume totaled 12.7684 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 58.94%; the cross-regional business volume totaled 64.0491 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 27.64%. The main indicators all showed rapid growth. Ningxia’s express delivery market is full of vitality and operates well, adding momentum to the economic and social development of the region.

During this year’s “618” shopping festival, Ningxia’s express delivery industry actively responded to the cancellation of pre-sales by many e-commerce platforms and the demand to enhance consumers’ shopping experience. JD.com, SF Express, Postal Service and many other Ningxia express delivery companies launched the “618” shopping festival service plan in advance at the end of May to provide “stable, fast and accurate” service experience for merchants, customers and consumers. JD Express Ningxia area has opened more than 20 direct air routes, covering core cities across the country, directly connecting to airports from agricultural specialty production areas, helping Zhongning fresh wolfberry, Yanchi Beach mutton, Zhongwei watermelon, Pengyang red plum apricot, and Lingwu long dates to achieve next-day delivery. Ningxia SF Express has added more than ten new casual flight routes. In terms of land transportation, it has invested in more than 100 routes and coordinated high-speed rail resources to carry out a direct delivery model from the main production townships to support the shipment of Ningxia fresh wolfberry, red plum apricot and raspberry.

Since the beginning of this year, thanks to the improvement of quality and efficiency through technology and the continuous promotion of infrastructure construction by express delivery companies, the industry’s transportation and transshipment capabilities have been increasingly enhanced. At present, each delivery company is equipped with automatic sorting and other processing equipment according to its own business volume. The processing capacity can meet the postal needs in the region, and the processing capacity is automated, information-based, pre-positioned, and integrated with warehouses and distribution. To ensure the “last mile” delivery, smart express cabinets are connected to the community ecosystem, and 24-hour self-service pick-up and delivery services are being piloted and promoted. Fengchao express lockers cover Xingqing District, Jinfeng District, Xixia District, and Yongning County of Yinchuan City.

Ningxia postal administration, transportation, commerce and other departments work closely together to build a new rural transportation development model of “one network for multiple uses, one station for multiple functions, multiple points in one, deep integration, sharing and win-win” for rural passenger transport, express delivery, logistics, e-commerce, etc., and vigorously promote the integrated development of rural passenger, freight and mail, so that the rural delivery network has a wider coverage, the delivery service quality is better, and the role of helping rural revitalization is stronger. As of the end of May, a total of 11 county-level administrative regions in the region have carried out integrated business, built 46 township comprehensive service stations, 207 village-level passenger, freight and mail merchant nodes, opened 100 passenger, freight and mail merchant cooperation routes, and participated in the transportation of express mail and mail buses. 165 vehicles have been involved in the transportation of express mail.
