ADP report: Artificial intelligence is reshaping the labor market

Recently, ADP, a compensation and human capital management solutions company, released the “Workplace 2024: Global Workforce Perspective” report stating that artificial intelligence technology is reshaping the labor market and work patterns. The report surveyed nearly 35,000 respondents from 18 countries and regions, and 85% of respondents believed that artificial intelligence will have a significant impact on their work in the next two to three years. This sentiment is particularly pronounced among remote workers and younger generations of workers.

The report points out that Chinese professionals generally regard management skills (43%), interpersonal skills (42%), data analysis skills (38%) and social skills (37%) as the key skills that need to be improved most in the next five years. The survey results show that there are obvious differences in skill needs and views among different age groups. Chinese professionals aged 18 to 24 believe that interpersonal relationships (35%) and social skills (34%) are the most important skills.
