In the first seven months of this year, the investment in water conservancy construction was 689.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%, of which 258.5 billion yuan was invested in water conservancy projects arranged by the issuance of additional treasury bonds. In the first seven months, 40,000 water conservancy projects were implemented nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 17%, of which 26,000 were newly started, a year-on-year increase of 23.9%.

In the first seven months, 34 major water conservancy projects were started nationwide, 8 more than the same period last year, with a total investment of 208.25 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 95.49 billion yuan. In the first seven months, the construction of water conservancy projects nationwide employed 1.683 million people, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%. Among them, 1.353 million rural laborers were employed, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%.
