In the first half of this year, Ningbo Port exported more than 120,000 vehicles, with an export value of 11.74 billion yuan, up 61.1% and 33.2% year-on-year respectively. Among them, foreign trade new energy vehicles continued to be popular, with an export volume of about 28,000 vehicles, showing a strong growth momentum.

The automobile industry is Ningbo’s traditional advantageous industry and a trillion-level industrial cluster that is being built with emphasis. At present, Zeekr has delivered more than 300,000 new cars in 33 months, setting a new record for the fastest delivery of pure electric vehicles.

It is reported that in July, Zeekr’s automobile production exceeded 10,000 vehicles, and more than 300 vehicles were shipped daily, and the order volume exceeded the original annual production plan.

While leading the domestic new energy vehicle market in sales, Zeekr is accelerating its global layout. In the first half of this year, Zeekr exported more than 800 Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X to the European market, with sales exceeding 350 million yuan, and it is expected to enter the markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and other places by the end of this year.

Not only are vehicle manufacturers moving towards “newness”, but Ningbo’s auto parts industry companies are also actively welcoming the industry’s trend and actively promoting the upgrading and iteration of auto parts supporting products.

Ningbo has 106 new energy vehicle projects under construction with a total investment of nearly 73 billion yuan.

According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 5,000 enterprises related to Ningbo’s new energy vehicle industry, and about 50% of auto parts companies provide supporting services for new energy vehicles. Their products cover fuel vehicle powertrains, “three-electric” systems (batteries, electric drives, and electronic controls) and other categories. Ningbo has formed a high-end parts development block with Yinzhou, Ninghai, and Yuyao as the core, and a vehicle production base with Hangzhou Bay New Area and Beilun as the core, and actively played the role of leading enterprises in attracting investment to build a supporting auto parts industrial park.
