Bank of China no longer retains PwC
On June 7, Bank of China announced that the bank held the fifth board meeting of 2024 in Beijing on June 7 with on-site voting. The directors attending the meeting reviewed and voted by name to pass the proposal to adjust the appointment arrangement of external auditors in 2024.
The proposal is as follows: Based on market information, based on the principle of prudence, and considering the business needs of the bank, it is agreed to adjust the original arrangement of re-employing PricewaterhouseCoopers Zhongtian Accounting Firm (Special General Partnership) and PricewaterhouseCoopers to provide annual audit services to hire them to provide professional services such as the review of the 2024 interim financial report, and the relevant professional service fees are RMB 35 million.
It is agreed to start the bidding and selection of external auditors in 2024, and the selection plan and results will be subject to relevant procedures separately.
